Organic Baby Food: Provide the Best for your Baby

in: Organic Baby Food by admin

Organic baby food is a great way to ensure that your baby is healthy and happy during a crucial stage of their development. Though often cheaper, mass produced food is harmful in many ways; while an adult can decide what they want to eat babies rely on their parents to provide them with a safe and nutritious diet.

Why is processed food bad for you?

Processed food often contains harmful additives such as hydrogenated fat and monosodium glutamate that damage the body. Processed food is also usually low on healthy vitamins and minerals such as calcium and vitamin C. Organic baby food provides a growing baby with everything they need to be strong and healthy.

Another big reason to stick to organic food is that mass produced food has usually been sprayed with pesticides. Even vegetables that have been washed thoroughly still carry trace amounts of pesticides; an adult’s body can more or less tolerate these trace amounts but a baby’s body is far more sensitive and vulnerable.

Animals used in the production of organic food are never given drugs to make them grow faster or fatten them up. Such drugs have been shown to have harmful effects on human beings who eat mass produced meat.

What are some more reasons to only eat organic baby food?

Organic food is also more ethical. Organic farmers are closely monitored to ensure that they follow the practices that constitute higher quality produce. One of the most important results of that monitoring is that organic farmers are required to treat their animals in a humane way from the space they are kept in to the drugs they are given; animals are never made to suffer.

However the biggest advantage of all is that organic food tastes great!
